Pamela Susan Aitken

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Pamela Susan Aitken, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, age 72, of Bradford TN. Pamela was born on July 28, 1953, in Chicago, IL and departed this life November 10 at home after a hard-fought, two-year battle with esophageal cancer. She faced her illness with incredible strength and grace, drawing great courage from her faith in the Lord and her deep love and devotion for her husband and family.

Pamela spent most of her life selflessly caring for others. Her warmth, generosity and kindness touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She found deep joy and purpose in her church community, where she attended services, taught children’s Bible school, and took part in many church activities. Even throughout her illness, she continued to serve and encourage others with the same kind spirit that defined her life. She will be truly missed - her presence, her smile, and the unforgettable joy of her laughter.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Jeanne Kaiser Reichelt.

She is survived by her loving husband, Joe Aitken; daughter, Sarah Shabatura (Marc Marcus); son, Jason (Jessica) Shabatura; granddaughter, Arianna Shabatura; sisters, Donna Meyers, Bonnie (Chris Davis) Reichelt; brother, Kim (Vicky) Reichelt; and several nieces and nephews.
