Minnie Aileen Scott

Aileen, a devoted Christian and beloved member of Mt. Pisgah Church, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025. Born in Gibson Co, Tennessee, Aileen lived a life of faith, compassion, and service to others.

She worked for many years at the local shirt factory and later served as a dedicated caretaker, always offering her time and heart to those in need. Her gentle spirit, unwavering kindness, and deep love for her family and community were evident in all she did.

Aileen was a loving mother whose greatest joy came from nurturing her family and walking in faith. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rozell Scott; her parents, John and Grace James her siblings Wylodean Hays, Betty Blackburn, Glyn James, John Jr. James, and Joan Lawerence.; and her son-in-law, Charlie Cochran.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Cochran; her son, Johnny Scott, and his wife, Patrica; her grandchildren, Shane Cochran (Tonya), Johnny Scott Jr., and Tanna Atchley (Scott); her great-grandchildren, Alex (Casey), Karson, L.J., and Joshua; and her great-great-grandchildren, Steely and Davis. She is also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A celebration of life service will take place on Friday, June 6, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Hunt Funeral Home Chapel.

Aileen will be laid to rest at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Bradford, Tennessee.

Aileen’s legacy of love, faith, and service will live on through the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
