Ludie Devona Shelton

Funeral services for Mrs. Ludie "Devona" Shelton, age 89, will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, in the Hunt Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until service time. Entombment to follow will be a private family service.

Mrs. Shelton, a retired employee of 19 years for the Bradford Special School District, was born on July 10, 1934, and passed away on July 24, 2023, at Volunteer Hospital in Martin, TN.

She is survived by one daughter, Gayle Bennett of Nashville; two grandchildren, John Mark (Shelby) Bennett of Hendersonville and Paige Bennett of Nashville; and one great-grandson, Jackson Bennett.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Clauzell Tyler Stover; two brothers, Smokey Stover and Dalton Stover; and her husband, Walter Garner.

Pallbearers: John Mark Bennett, Jackson Bennett, Ronnie Jones, Craig Griffin, John Dawson, and Stuart Russell.
