Jerry Allen Dethloff

Funeral services for “JD,” Jerry Allen Dethloff, age 66, will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, with burial to follow in New Prospect Cemetery in Greenfield, TN. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 3 p.m. until service time. All services will be held at First Baptist Church in Bradford, TN.

“JD,” a Christian, hardworking, loving and devoted husband, father, and Papa. He loved his family, farming, traveling, fishing, hunting, Tennessee Football, and most of all, his grandchildren.

He was more than someone who served his community. He was someone who truly loved his hometown and all of the people who call it home. He was a selfless, kindhearted person who never expected anything in return or any kind of recognition. Our community was a better place because of JD, and his absence will certainly be felt for many days to come throughout our community.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Belew (Avery) Emert and Harvey (Evelyn) Dethloff; his sister, Donna Pope; and his father-in-law, Pete Smith.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Pam Dethloff; one daughter, Jennifer (Eric) Brooks; one son, Jeremy (Whitney) Dethloff; five grandchildren, Jase and Ella Brooks and Joyner, Charlee, and Finley Dethloff; one brother, Joel Dethloff; and a host of coworkers, friends, and many who loved him dearly.

Pallbearers include Joyner Dethloff, Jase Brooks, Joe Cavender, Gary Smith, Bryan Smith, Mike Smith, Mitch Belew, and Jeff Raspberry.

Honorary include Brody Cogburn, Stacy Rice, Tim Taylor, Joe Alexander, Robert “Hot Rod” Rodriguez, Ronnie Jones, Larry Flowers, and Corey Flowers.
