Betty Murel Childress

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Murel Childress, age 83, will be held on Monday, July 21, 2025, at 12 p.m. with burial to follow in Bradford Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Monday from 10 a.m. until service time.

Mrs. Murel, a retired bookkeeper for H & M Construction, was born in Concord, TN, on July 23, 1941, and passed away July 18, 2025, at her residence in Gallatin, TN.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Hattie Stevens Dillon, and her sister, Elizabeth Dillon Graves.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Childress of Gallatin, TN; one daughter, Regina Barnett of Gallatin, TN; three granddaughter’s, Katie (Dillon) Clausen, Addie (Jonathan) Lisbona, and Emmie (Garrett) Franklin; and two great-grandchildren, Emma and Matthew Clausen.
